Projects
A selection of our installations — from dedicated home theaters to golf simulators and whole-home AV builds across the Columbia, SC metro area.

Demo Theater Room
JVC DLA-NZ7 4K projector on a 150" Stewart screen with 7.2.4 Dolby Atmos audio, KEF speakers, dual subwoofers, tactile transducers, and full smart automation.

Living Room Home Theater
A TV-above-fireplace living room transformed into an eye-level cinematic experience with an all-MartinLogan 5.1.4 speaker configuration.

High-Performance Media Room
The owner had already chosen and bought the equipment, and brought us in to pull it together into a room that performed. Starting over was never the brief — the job was to get everything out of what was already there. We reconfigured the seating around his existing couches, replaced the 82-inch panel with a 98-inch TCL QM8L, and repositioned every speaker for the room and the seats. Two matching in-wall side surrounds went in, and every surround and Atmos run was routed through the walls and ceiling for a clean finish. We added a second subwoofer, and planned and installed the acoustic treatment: the red panels, the ceiling clouds, and four black panels in the front corners that are easy to miss against the stick-on foam, which was already in place and is the owner's own. The system was then set up and calibrated with Dirac Live Active Room Treatment. The result is a high-performance media room built almost entirely from equipment that was already in the house.

Projector Upgrade: Epson 5050 to JVC NZ7
A client with a beautifully custom-built dedicated theater — complete with a 165" wide (179" diagonal) 2.4:1 scope screen — had been running an Epson 5050 and was curious about upgrading to JVC's flagship D-ILA technology. His main concern: would the NZ7 deliver enough brightness at that screen size? We brought TekScene's personal demo unit, set it up alongside the existing Epson, and let the room do the talking — the JVC measured nearly 4× brighter on his screen. He purchased the demo unit on the spot, and the NZ7 now lives permanently in "Twinseltown."

Dedicated Theater Upgrade
A dedicated home theater received a full front-end overhaul: an Epson QB1000 projector, a Stewart Filmscreen StudioTek 130 G4 UltraPerf acoustically transparent screen, a new A/V receiver running Dirac Live Active Room Treatment, and a madVR Envy Core MK2 for reference-grade tone mapping and HDR precision. We designed and supplied the acoustic treatment to suit the room, which the owner installed himself. The speakers and subwoofers are his own, as were the seating, riser and carpet — we advised on those as the room came together. The result turns an already capable room into a true high-performance cinema.

Dedicated Theater Atmos Upgrade
A home theater enthusiast undertook a full room refresh on his own — new processor, power amplifiers, speakers, and acoustic treatment — and brought us in to nail the one detail that demands precision: Dolby Atmos in-ceiling speaker placement. Using a laser level, we located and installed each overhead speaker to exact symmetry, running new cable throughout and extending existing runs where the walls couldn't be re-fished.

Golf Simulator Projectors — Repaired, Not Replaced
Not our build — a service call. The two Full Swing simulator bays at this golf club were designed, supplied and installed by others; we were called in because both projectors kept shutting themselves off mid-round, and everyone the manager had spoken to had told him to replace them. Both units were dropping into thermal protection. The air filters had already been cleaned, so the obvious cause was ruled out and the shutdowns carried on regardless — until opening the projectors up found the internal exhaust path in each packed with dust, leaving the heat nowhere to go however clean the intake was. We cleared both and put them back into service. No new hardware: a maintenance problem that had been mistaken for two failed projectors.

Whole-Home Ubiquiti Build
A new home build received a full Ubiquiti ecosystem install — UDM Pro Max with 20 TB of onboard storage, a 48-port PoE switch with DAC, and five wireless access points for seamless whole-home coverage. Seven outdoor cameras and a video doorbell with chime feed into Ubiquiti Protect for 24/7 local NVR recording. Ubiquiti Superlink completes the system with a siren and door sensors for integrated intrusion detection — all managed from a single app.

TV Above Fireplace Install
A client relocating to a new home needed their large 75" TV properly installed above the fireplace. The job included removing the previous 40" TV and mount, relocating the electrical outlet to the ideal position, sourcing and installing a new heavy-duty wall mount, and completing the install with a full Apple TV setup and configuration.

TV Mount — Stone Fireplace
Mounting above a stone fireplace demands a different approach — drilling into stone risks cracking and chipping, so every anchor was placed exclusively in the mortar joints. The TV is centered precisely within the space between the flanking built-ins, with Apple TV configured and ready to go.

Digital Signage Install — Central Bark
Three displays spanning the full width of the reception area at Central Bark serve as a dynamic digital menu board — showing services, pricing, and photography for day care, boarding, grooming, and training. Content is managed centrally over the network, letting staff update the screens from anywhere without touching the hardware.
